Update no. 11

Hello Parents,

So this is the week that I start the EKG Program. I called them and they said the only requirements needed from me are my college transcripts and immunization records. But that doesn’t need to be given to them in order to start the program. The deposit is $500 and the rest of the remaining balance ($750) must be paid within two months every two weeks from the date I start class. The payments should be a minimum of $300. Should I be paying with check or with my card?

I still haven’t heard much yet from SVA, which is very sad. I have decided that I will just stay here in San Francisco for this semester and start looking for a part time job so I can help out with rent until I get an actual EKG job. Mike Roberts, who does study in SVA, says it’s not very likely that I won’t get accepted. But if I didn’t and would need to go back to school for some art classes, I’ll just do that for the fall semester.

This is a new year and a whole new semester with the Gay Men’s Chorus. This season we are going to be going on tour throughout CA. Rehearsals have already started and the actual touring and concerts won’t happen until March. However, I plan to audition today for a smaller ensemble within the Chorus called the Lollipop Guild. They just took home an Out Music Award last year for best choral recording. It’s going to be exciting. I think later this season, we’re going to be performing for a concert for the Marines – or something like that. I’m not sure.

It’s the New Year and a lot of stuff has been happening lately for my art. I am stil doing A Week Inspired and I just completed a series of posters about Japanese Design. My other blog on tumblr has become one of the top 10,000 blogs on that network – top 5,000 from the United States. I’m not particularly serious about it but it’s nice that it’s getting some attention.

I have also started a whole new project called White Type where I make something cool everyday. It’s currently on flickr. I saw that this one artist has done so in the past and has been getting a lot of success from it lately so I decided to take on his model.

Thanks for the rent, the bus fare, and for the down payment. I really appreciate it. Now Dad sent $600. Does all of that go for the down payment or is $100 of that mine? Just checking.

There’s not much I really need for now. I’m just going to remind you guys that in two weeks I will need to pay the EKG course $300. And that I will need food/allowance for next week.

D’ken
