So, I am finally through with all my Christmas concerts. The last ones were on Christmas Eve and they were especially good since it was both my first time to be singing in San Francisco and it was the best crowds we have had yet. Since it was my first time singing in San Francisco, the whole chorus actually sang to me right before the show and gave me a little bouquet of flowers and my little diploma for finishing my first semester with the chorus. It was so sweet; I wish I caught it in video.
I have updated the blog for last week. I do have to say that taking a more art directorial approach to the blog, where I actually go hunt and find good material then relay it on my website, has been very rewarding. And just because I don’t produce ALL the content doesn’t mean I slack the work off: I went through 50 of those links just to get those 15 good sites. I will still be making original content though but I did most of that week in that sort of way because of time.
Since I started that, I actually started another blog, which doesn’t generate any content, where I curate what I think is visually appealing and relevant to the blog.
It is on http://dcurated.tumblr.com. That has been so much fun although very time consuming just to find the right kind of images that would go with the rest of the site. This one is totally just for me although I think it still somehow helps exercise my art directorial muscles.
I still haven’t heard from SVA and I’m getting kind of worried. I am having to make all these decisions while I am here and it seems like I might have to just stay in SF whether or not I get in and move back in the fall. The EKG program starts on January 9. It is going to cost $1250 with a $500 down payment. I completed the BLS course and the card came in the mail yesterday.
Well, today Mike Roberts and Randy are going to be staying here in SF for the new years and Thank you so much for the extra money so that I can take them out to do stuff. We’re not sure what our New Year’s plans are yet but I’ve been invited to 5 different things and we’re just gonna have to choose. So I’m talking to mom as I am writing this and thank you in advance for rent. I’m trying to work it so that by February, I’ll either know what to do exactly with moving back to Santa Rosa or getting a job here to help pay for rent.
Well, anyway, it is the New Year coming up so I kinda need a lot. It would be great to have food and allowance for this week, money for the bus pass, and once again, rent.
Thanks so much in advance.
D’ken
