Hello Parents
So I have to say I’m not quite sure what has happened since I last posted. I have been so exhausted all week, just trying to recover from the Auction and frantically going to Santa Rosa just to get the transcript so that I can get my application done. But either way, I did do that and now I’m waiting for the copy of my transcript to come in the mail so I can mail it. By the way, did Philip pick that up and send it? Because that would make the difference of receiving the mail by Monday or Tuesday and I would like to mail it before Thanksgiving.
I just sent out the posts on the blog. I’m pretty happy with them. I know the Big Deal auction one does not have any copy in it but there was a mix up in getting someone else’s photos and it would’ve been awkward just writing about the very small part that I photographed that evening. If I get all the photos, I’ll send up a follow up post.
So this week, I am super busy until Wednesday and then I’ll be heading up to Santa Rosa that night and plan to do absolutely nothing until Sunday. I kinda need the break. I have been so fatigued and I have been running around a lot. I just need to sleep and get myself centered. But you will still have your two blog posts.
So what I’m going to be doing before I go to Santa Rosa is sending in the application. The form says that I wont be sending cash with it. They will just charge my credit card. So sending the money for the application isn’t that urgent. But I do need Philip to pick up that letter from the school if he hasn’t already. I’m going to call later today to check up on that. Because I seriously need it. THAT IS THE OF THE HIGHEST PRIORITY.
I will also have to look for a tailor before Wednesday so that I can get my tuxedo fixed for my first concert. I’m not sure where I’ll be going and I might go do it in Santa Rosa but we’re just gonna have to see.
And lastly, I am going to meet with an instructor from an art school here so that he can evaluate my portfolio on Tuesday. I’m going to do it so that I can enhance my portfolio so that I can start applying for art scholarships. That might mean that I will need to do more but that’s fine. I know that I’ll have until March until I will need to submit a portfolio application for that scholarship.
I have not started reading on the EKG or BLS books yet but I plan to do that when I’m up in Santa Rosa. I’m just really backed up with stuff right now. But it will be done.
Thank you so much for the $50 that I had to ask on rush. It really helped with my participation with the dinner and I think I have made a stronger connection with the members of the chorus. That’s really important to me so thank you.
So I kinda have a lot to ask so I’m just going to write this out as a wish list. I’m going to prioritize so that it goes from more important to less important.
1. Transcript letter from School. ASAP.
2. Application fee: $50
3. Money for tailor. Will find out how much that is.
4. Rent: $600. This is only this far down the list because it’s not really due until Dec. 5.
5. Food Money. Don’t need it immediately because I have some to last me until I get to Santa Rosa.
6. Winter clothes. More sweaters. It is getting cold here! I was hoping that maybe we can get them for Black Friday because I would be able to get them really cheap.
7. Tickets for Kinsey Sicks – this is more of a “Can I have this for Christmas?” kind of thing. They’re this group that I would really like to see with Randy and I know how to get tickets for relatively cheap since I’m with the chorus.
8. A camera bag from Built. Another “Can I have this for Christmas?” thing.
9. Art Direction Explained, At Last!
10. Seven Days in the Art World. I talked about these two books before in this blog and like I said, you can get them for really cheap at Amazon.com
I'm not *that* serious about the last 4 items. What I mean by that is that they're not really necessities. So you guys decide what you want to do and just tell me. Especially regarding that transcript letter.
